This zine is a collection of book recommendations featuring lgbt+/queer representation in Central and South America, Asia, and Africa. I am still making my way through the books in this zine so I cannot speak for all of them but I did research to compile the lists. I had sources but my links are broken now so... I will need to find the various articles I referenced again. 4.25x5.5 inches, 8 pages, color. I designed this zine in canva.

butterflies/lovers x
Creative non-fiction prose zine with collaged visual elements. 5.5x8.5 inches, 16 pages, black and white. About finding love and autonomy in a trans/disabled body. NSFW. I hand stamped, cut paper, and lovingly glued the original zine that was then photocopied to share. Early copies were hand sewn using saddlestitch, lately I been stapling with my beloved long-arm.
I made this on MS Paint x
A series of diary comics I drew every day in MS Paint for one week. This mega-mini as I like to think of it is a monsterously thick "mini" zine, it is made up of 7 pages of paper of the standard 8 pages to one sheet of paper style zine edited together. 2.75x4.25 inches, 8 pages, black and white. I designed this zine on MS Paint, the Apple notes app, canva and Google slides.
Gender is Anything You Make It x
A perzine illustrated essay musing on the fictional characters/media that have influenced my internal perception of my gender. 5.5x8.5 inches, 8 pages, color. I designed this zine in procreate and Google slides.

This zine features quotes from various media (namely books) I have at times found to be spiritually significant. The imagery follows a plant from seed to harvest to being brewed as tea. The list includes:

A poetry zine collaged entirely with black and white images. Source for background imagery is The Great Book of Optical Illusions (1985) by Gyles Brandreth. Text sourced from headlines in National Geographic August 1973, April 1977, September 1977, April 1980, and May 2010. 2.75x4.25 inches, 8 pages, black and white. I designed this zine by hand using found materials for collage and glue.

A comic affirming the presence of queer bodies in spiritual places. Many of the images are referential to public domain works of art. The two page spread on pages 4&5 is based on a 2021 studio photo by Landyn Pan. Text within reads:

Gilbert Baker Pride Flag x
Zine featuring the colors of the original eight color pride flag designed by Gilbert Baker. The first "Gilbert Baker" flag flew in June 1978 and was hand dyed and hand sewn by a collective of queer folks in the Gay Community Center at 330 Grove Street in San Francisco. The eight colors all had meanings attributed to them: 2.75x4.25 inches, 8 pages, color. I painted this zine with watercolor on mixed media paper.

A drawn collage of images from the internet archive, I didn't do a good job of keeping track of my sources but they were all in the public domain. 2.75x4.25 inches, 8 pages, black and white. I drew this zine on copypaper with pencil and upped the blackpoint after scanning in photoshop.

Queerlights x
Queerlights: The Book for Gay Folks of all ages includes Gay Folks's activities and helps one achieve gayness with a purpose. The zine is styled after the children's magazine Highlights. This zine features a word search, crossword, coloring page, and search puzzle that teach the reader about queer history and identity. 5.5x8.5 inches, 16 pages, black and white. I designed this zine on procreate and using by hand using cut and paste and the wordsearch is handwritten.
100 Years of Zines x
100 Years of Zines is exactly what it souunds like, a history of zines spanning back to 1920. In this zine I argue that "little magazines" of the Harlem Rennaisance are the original zines, followed shortly thereafter by publications originally known as "fanzines" in the 1930s. The zine focuses largely on the couunterculture aspect of zines especially as it relates to queer history/identity. Noting especially VICE VERSA, One Magazine, and Queers Read This. 5.5x8.5 inches, 16 pages, black and white. I designed this zine in canva.
Wrap Pants x
This short zine teaches the beautiful sewing pattern that is wrap pants. These pants require nary a button or zipper and are highly adjustable making them great for folks who fluxuate in weight. 4.25x5.5 inches, 8 pages, black and white. I drew this zine on procreate.

Ring of Keys x
This zine was in the making for years, earliest recorded date we are certain of is Oct 17, 2023. This zine was finished in our VRBO in Detroit, Michigan on May 15, 2026. Photos of DN, DN, D N are from a 2024 trip to Cincinnati Zine Fest. This zine was finished in time for Detroit Zine Fest. This zine was created during many stolen moments across several east coast states (namely North Carolina and Virginia). The first printing was done at the nearest Staples. Thanks to our contributors~! 5.5x8.5 inches, 20 pages, color. I designed this zine on canva, submissions were collected on proton forms, the art within includes photographs, linocuts, digital collage, and hand-written notes.
Symbiotic: Intergenerational Friendships x
This zine reflects on my first adult friend I made with a substantial age gap. I have learned a lot from them and have much gratitude to be their friend.
